Michelle joined Milford in 2017 and is responsible for Milford’s legal, risk and compliance matters across New Zealand and Australia. She has over 20 years’ experience in financial services law, governance, and risk management. Prior to joining Milford, Michelle held a senior legal position at Westpac New Zealand, where she advised on regulatory compliance, corporate and treasury matters, and strategic initiatives. Previous roles include Chapman Tripp in Auckland and Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer in London, with a focus on banking and structured finance.
Michelle has a Bachelor of Laws (First Class Honours) and a Bachelor of Commerce majoring in Accounting from the University of Canterbury.
